Toronto, Tuesday Morning 22 June

1847

My dear sir,

The Council, at their meeting last evening, authorised the Board of Health to make the appointment of Medical Superintendent of the Emigrant Hospital.

From the opinions expressed by the members of that body, I have reason to believe that you will receive that appointment.

In that event, the Board will desire to interview with you immediately after the appointment be made, which will be at 10 this morning.

Will you be good enough to be on the way, should you be sent for about that time?

Yours very truly,

Geo. Gurnett

Dr Grasett
